Due to a growing finance team, we are seeking an experienced Credit Controller used to working on a high volume ledger to join our friendly and collaborative team, supporting our Continental Europe hubs. This would be a great opportunity to develop your finance career with exposure to multi-cultural teams.
The successful candidate will have excellent rapport building skills, be well-organised and team spirited, as well as being very comfortable calling corporate clients by telephone.
As this role will be working closely with our Germany and Netherlands teams, it would be preferable for you to have some level of proficiency in German and/or Dutch languages.
This permanent role is based in our Milton Keynes office on a hybrid basis, with site attendance required on a regular basis, currently 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- To collect outstanding debt owed on past and present invoices, from business/corporate clients
- Minimise bad debt & maintain cash flow using effective debt collection calls
- Focus on delinquent payments to maximise revenue income
- Resolve all customer queries promptly
- Maintain collections notes in customer accounts
- Work with all areas of the business to ensure clients on “stop” are not supplied with additional services
Skills & Experience:
- High volume credit control experience essential
- Proficient using Excel
- Excellent telephone and rapport building skills
- SAP experience would be an advantage
- The ability to work independently whilst maintaining a team-based outlook
