About The Role

Location: Datchet Head Office (near Slough and Windsor)

Salary: Up to £40k dependant on experience

Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for you to actively contribute to the credit control team’s objectives and participate in the continuous improvement of the team’s administration and processes. Reporting directly into the Group Credit Control Manager, the role will be very ‘hands on’ to manage a team of 6 credit controllers with the monitoring, chasing and controlling of their portions of the Sales Ledger whilst maintaining strong customer/colleague relationships. The role is office based at our Head Office in Datchet, with some travel into our Waterloo Office to visit the other half of the team.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising an established team of 6 credit controllers split over 2 sites (Datchet/Waterloo)

  • Nurturing and Empowering the CC team with Training and Support where necessary

  • Supporting the Group CCM with a variety of tasks

  • Compiling debtor reports for Credit Controllers and Regional Directors (RD’s)

  • Compiling Legal Debt reports to verify/quantify Ledger movement

  • Attending virtual meetings with RD’s to discuss Regional Debt positions and resolve outstanding queries

  • Assisting with revision of processes and procedures as necessary and implementing of same

  • Working with the invoicing team and the Regional Managers to resolve any disputes that may lead to delayed payments

  • Some direct end-to-end Credit Control chasing by telephone, e-mail, and letter in line with the agreed Credit Control Chase process, in a high-volume environment, to achieve individual and team targets

  • Ensuring records are kept updated - SAGE Accounts and Credit Control Excel Sheets

  • Sending Final Demand notices to delinquent clients, when required

  • Preparing files for the in-house company solicitor when escalation is required

About You

All you need is;

  • Supervisory/Management skills

  • Team Player

  • Ability to lead a team and prioritise workload

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Intermediate Excel Skills – VLOOKUPS/PIVOTS

  • Ability to work well in a highly pressurised environment Experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate / advanced level)

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Timekeeping and attendance must be of a very high standard
