About The Role
Portable Appliance Test Engineer- Walsall
Average earnings of up to £30k plus company vehicle and equipment
We don’t require our PAT engineers to be experienced, we will supply all the training you need. We will provide you with a company vehicle which can be used for personal use and all the equipment that you need
This isn’t a standard 9-5 role. You may be required to work evenings and weekends at times. When we’re especially busy, we may need to put you up in a hotel so testing can be completed for our clients a little further afield. You may be testing electrical devices in difficult to reach areas and spending a lot of the day active.

A day in the life of a PAT Engineer at phs;
- Traveling to customer sites to carry out PAT work.
- Completing tests on portable appliances with our customers offices and commercial offices.
- Completing documents and required forms to report back on any faults found and work completed.
- Representing phs Compliance, offering positive customer service and being the face of the company.
The ideal candidate for a PAT Engineer at phs will have:
- Full UK manual Driving License for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.
- The flexibility to work outside core 9-5 hours and be able to travel for work when needed.
- The ability to spend long periods of time completing manual work.
- A desire to pursue a career within an electrical engineering role.
