We have exiting opportunities for experienced counterbalance FLT Drivers to join our team in Derby with the following alternate shift patterns:
Monday to Friday 05:30-14:30 and 15:00-middnight, (including 1 hour break)
The salary for this role is £30,712 including a contract supplement.

Working at our customers premises, your duties are to support the effective running of a very busy transport yard, carrying out a multitude of tasks which include use of FLT, and supporting the shunting operation as and when required.
As a fully qualified counterbalance FLT Driver, you will safely handle our customers products through all inbound and internal processes, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to. You will use material handling equipment in the correct manner to support operational processes in various areas of the site and carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the operation. Full training will be given on site procedures and operational aspects of the role.
Key requirements:
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, pre-use equipment checks and escalating any defects or abnormality to your line manager immediately
- Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to, including absence reporting, dignity at work and local site rules, taking due consideration of company values.
- Ensure any concerns or abnormalities are reported to your line manager immediately to ensure the appropriate remedial action can be taken
- A Good level of general education including good understanding of both written and verbal English
- Automotive industry experience. Being familiar with ‘just in time’ procedures is desirable
- Experience of operating MHE in fast paced environment
- Full counterbalance licence
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work rotating shift patterns
- Be able to work as part of a team and able to build relationships with others
- Be a good communicator and able to share information effectively with others
