Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Salary: £25,000 plus pension, medical, 25 days holiday
Our client is a successful management consultancy providing technical expertise to projects in the Ministry of Defence. They also have experience of working in the nuclear, defence, space, and transport sectors of the UK. Our client is a member of several Government frameworks for the delivery of analysis and systems engineering and delivers innovative solutions as an agile organisation built on the expertise of experienced practitioners.
Due to expansion or client is looking for a recent Graduate with excellent mathematical and analytical skills, you need to have excellent problem-solving skills and be highly computer literate.

Responsibilities for the role of Mathematics Graduate Cost Analyst will include:
Supporting delivery of technical consulting projects.
Designing and applying analysis approaches to tackle real world problems.
Qualification & Experience for the role of Mathematics Graduate Cost Analyst:
STEM Degree in a subject with analytical and engineering elements such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Engineering, Physics.
An interest in applying analytical skills to solve problems and support decision making.
Awareness of the following:
- Problem structuring
- Cost modelling and analysis
- Risk management and analysis
- Data analytics
- Simulation modelling
Strong knowledge and use of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Good interpersonal skills i.e., an ability to engage with clients via workshops.
Be willing to travel across the UK and be comfortable to work away from home at client sites for short periods of time.
The role is based out of our clients Portsmouth offices, need to be within commutable distance, preferrable car owner/driver.
Other Requirements:
Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
Candidates will need to undergo an internal BPSS check prior to gaining site access.
Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK residency.
