FILM & SMART SURFACE SOLUTIONS (F&SSS) We are Film & Smart Surface Solutions (F&SSS) and currently active in more than 50 countries. Our main production location is in the UK, with plans in place to realise a second production location in Asia. Our R&D and Technical centres are already in all three territories, Americas, Asia and Europe. Our target for the F&SSS division is to become the market leader in the in-mold electronics space for the automotive industry. It capitalizes on emerging trends in human-machine interfaces, displays and in-mold electronics. Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Finance Specialist will provide supply chain finance support, mainly towards the manufacturing facility and it’s leadership team but also the wider finance organization (FP&A / Accounting / Commercial Finance). They will be the first point of contact for all site related supply chain activities such as cost accounting and site reporting. The successful applicant will be working closely with the site leader and the site leadership team on all site related financial matters.
The position reports to the Finance Director Supply Chain EMEA but may also take direction from the site leader when appropriate.
The main scope will be towards the manufacturing facility in Wantage, UK but may also include other smaller and/or distribution (no manufacturing) entities.
Job Responsibilities
- Monthly KPI preparation and analysis
- Moving average costs daily check
- Product Costing check at month end
- Monitoring of Inventory ageing & identification of actions to reduce aged materials
- Stock movements (in/out) checks (daily and monthly)
- Supply chain Budget and Forecast preparation
- Product consumption analysis
- Freight costs (in/out) analysis
- Specific cost reduction activities proposal and subsequent monitoring
- Integration projects assists to ERP integration activities
- Compliance responsibility in SOX controls of the supply chain area (Stock take activity, Monthly Cost roll up)
- Support operations in Capex requests with Financial modelling
- Ad hoc analysis required by the management (Local, Regional and Global)
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you will need to be:
- Analytical: You will collect and research data; Design workflows and procedures
- Understanding and familiar with various financial statement preparations
- Able to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment and implement changes quickly and accurately
- Able to work under time pressure
- Results focused and cost consciousness
- Able to articulate complex financial matters to provide clarity to non-finance colleagues
Ideally you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting.
- Exposure / understanding / direct work experience of manufacturing accounting principles: Standard costing, bill of materials, routings.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise (HFM, Planning and Essbase) is beneficial.
- SAP/ JD Edwards systems would be an advantage.
