Correctional Officer – Maine Correctional Center Code: 5207 Pay Grade: 16 $22.95 - $26.62 hourly This rate includes $1/hr. institutional stipend This rate does not include applicable night, weekend shift differentials, or Premium Overtime. When you become a Correctional Officer at Maine Correctional Center (MCC), you’ll provide security and mentorship of adult residents in support of their treatment and rehabilitation. Starting Pay: $22.95/hr. Lateral credit up to 5 additional pay steps for experienced hires with current BCTP Certification. Base Premium Overtime Rate: $34.43/hr. Voluntary Overtime Incentive: +$9.00/hr. to Base Premium Overtime Rate. This incentive is currently available through at least June 30, 2023. Shift Differentials: +$0.35/hr. 2nd +$0.42/hr. 3rd Shift. Weekend Differential: +0.60/hr. straight time and +$0.90/hr. for Premium Overtime. Merit and Longevity increases Minimum Requirements to Apply: At least 18-Years-Old. HS Diploma or Equivalent (HiSET, GED, etc.). Valid driver's license to apply, Maine driver’s license upon hire. No serious criminal or extensive motor vehicle records.
