To deliver a range of Bupa health assessments and onsite products & actively work with our customers to identify lifestyle changes that will directly impact their health & wellbeing. Help people make brave decisions & take the steps that will lead to our customers and corporate clients to lead longer, healthier, happier lives.
The corporate health adviser will specialise in delivering onsite services to clients, including delivering engaging and interactive Health and wellbeing presentations and webinars to corporate clients. It will be their responsibility to maintain high standards of clinical knowledge and keep up to date with current health research topics, ensuring the presentations are engaging and interactive.
What you’ll do:
- Liaising with Wellbeing consultant, account manager and Citi clients to promote Health promotion products and communicate with the centre manager and health services Manager to arrange delivery of the Health Talks
- Liaising with the client prior to visiting/ delivering the Health Talks for introductions and making any necessary arrangements.
- Become a high profile representative of Bupa, maintaining professionalism always and promoting the business and knowledge of other products.
- To be flexible to work on similar tasks within the Citi Health centre team.
Planning and organisation
- Responsible for managing own time in preparing for health talks
- Liaise with the company and complete company checks where necessary
- Work autonomously and be proactive in introducing new slides or creating new content
Lifestyle Advice/Health Promotion
- Have an open & honest conversation with our customers about lifestyle & behaviour changes they can adopt to lead a longer, healthier, happier life
- Promote and encourage a healthier lifestyle for our customers in accordance with Bupa current clinical policy and recommended national and international guidelines
- Give individual lifestyle advice appropriate to customer needs with reference to their health risk, health assessment results and their health and wellbeing goals
- Ensure customers are supported throughout their health assessment journey
- Promote lifestyle coaching
- Deliver effective lifestyle coaching if required and trained
Clinical
- Carry out Bupa health assessment tests in accordance with Bupa Health Clinics policies and protocols
- Explain clinical results and risk factors to our customers – take them on a journey of how this impacts their health & wellbeing & steps they can take to mitigate this risk
- Refer customers to a Bupa Doctor as required – work as partners to manage the Customer’s Health Assessment and customer queries
- Ensure accurate recording of all samples and entry on Bupa Medical Reporting system
- Prepare equipment prior to each health assessment session and leave environment in a clean, tidy and safe condition after use
Customer Service
- Offer an outstanding customer experience & put the customer at the centre of their health assessment
- Guide customers to a healthier lifestyle
- Discuss with customers other Bupa services available Onsite if interested
- Keep the customer informed – explain procedures and tests
- Work with the customer to prioritise health risks and goals
Commitment to quality
- Carry out Bupa health screening tests in accordance with Clinic’s policies and protocols
- Adhere to and demonstrate an up to date knowledge of Bupa Clinic’s policies and procedures
- Adhere to equipment quality policies to ensure equipment is well maintained delivering reliable results
- Responsible for internal and external Quality Control tests on equipment
- Responsible for completing machine cleaning protocols
- Supporting with checking equipment crates have been packed correctly
- Continue to support the high standard of Health Talks content through utilisation of an in depth and up to date knowledge of clinical research surrounding the topics. Responsible with keeping up to date with currently health initiatives.
- Liaising with clinical governance teams to ensure content can be delivered
- Auditing of health talks to ensure high quality is maintained across the service
- Responsible for training others to deliver talks as required.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of performing measurement or assessment in a health and fitness e.g. personal training or medical environment plus a post-secondary education vocational qualification.
- Experience of giving customer advice in a healthy living / lifestyle context, including physical activity, nutrition, Mental Wellbeing (MWB), smoking, alcohol, sleep and stress management
And/ or
- Educated to degree level in exercise physiology, nutrition or similar health science or nursing equivalent qualification.
And
- Knowledge of anatomy/physiology in relation to health and lifestyle
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal to interact with colleagues, clients & customers
- Good IT skills – including MS Office packages all other systems needed for health assessment delivery and presentations.
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment that relies on 1:1 communication & interaction
- Evidence of ability to engage and motivate others
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
