What will you be doing?
The Corporate Communications Manager is a key role in the Corporate Communications team and responsible for running a world-class press office function for Vodafone UK, protecting the brand and enhancing our reputation through a combination of reactive and proactive media outreach.
Acting as one of the first points of contact for our busy press office – you’ll be adept at media relations - ensuring timely and accurate responses to incoming enquiries; preparing the business and assisting with spokesperson briefings for upcoming announcements; and providing expert counsel to ensure the external perspective is well considered.
With experience in PR or journalism, you’ll have – or will be able to build – excellent relationships with media and internal and external stakeholders; and will be comfortable contributing to and delivering against the proactive corporate communications strategy, including bringing in key media opportunities.
Working closely with a wide range of teams across the business including Brand, Editorial and Public Affairs, this varied role – as a member of a talented, friendly, high-delivery team – gives unparalleled access to inspiring senior leaders and innovative projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Overseeing management of incoming press enquiries- Preparation of the business for external reaction to all initiatives
- Providing expert counsel to the business – advising senior leaders, including GMT, on appropriate response for media
- Establishing outstanding media relations
- Crisis and issues response drafting
