About us.
Pickled Pumpkin Catering are the venue management hospitality group at The Pavilion & The Gallery located on The David Broome Event Centre.
The Job.
To work as part of a small team selling and serving breakfast, coffee, lunch, dinner and snacks with exceptional customer service at all times set within The Lodge Bistro.
- To comply with the cleaning schedules put in place
- To keep the kitchen and outside area to the required standards and cleanliness
- Handling food deliveries and checking off invoices upon arrival
- Basic food preparation
- Washing and drying of dishes, pots, pans and cutlery
When will I work?
The role of Kitchen Assistant is for part time, with hours from 12 - 40 a week.
Afternoon shifts would commence at 12:00noon and finish at 18:00
Evening shifts would commence at 17:00 and finish around 22:00
However, we can be very flexible.
We will sometimes have to increase, or decrease these hours due to different volumes of bookings for the events.
Rotas will be completed a month at a time, 1 week before the month begins.
What skills do I need?
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Confidence in working alone, with food preparation
- Fast thinking and the ability to react to changes in customer volume throughout the day
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- To work in a high pressured environment
Part-time hours: 18-40 per week
