Opportunity
The Brand Copywriter crafts strong creative concepts and sharp, thoughtful copy on our Creative Team. Using product knowledge and brand strategy, you’ll lead the day-to-day writing, develop original and effective concepts and creative marketing solutions, and elevate the brand voice across all our channels (digital, ecommerce, product, video, retail store, packaging, and email, to name a few).
The Brand Copywriter reports to the Content Director, works in close creative partnership with Creative Team Designers, and works collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the business. Your words (across all channels) are the core touchpoint for new and existing Community Members to develop brand love for Saje—and will inspire them to invite more wellness into their lives through the sensory experiences Saje products unlock. As a master of Saje’s brand voice, you may also provide direction to other writers as needed.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who produces exceptional connecting copy and wants to flex their muscles in relationship building, strategic thinking, and creative campaigns. A desire to embrace direction, stay positive through constructive feedback and revisions, bring innovative ideas to the table, and stretch your growth is welcome. A social- and mobile-first view of creative content and fluency in social media platforms are an asset.
Through day-to-day functions, the Brand Copywriter contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje’s culture; proactively engaging in behaviours that align with Saje’s values. .

Responsibilities
- Craft strong on-brand concepts and channel activation ideas for new product launches and core marketing campaigns (social- and mobile-first)
- Write clear, evocative, and connecting product copy in Saje’s tone of voice
- Revise, edit, and proofread to ensure copy is on-concept, accurate, and on-brief
- Work in close partnership with members of the Creative Team, especially Designers
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Team Members across the business
- Build captivating presentation decks for creative reviews
- Present effectively with Creative Team members
- Grow your understanding of brand identity and the relationship between design and copy
- Bring knowledge of industry trends, content marketing, and new technology to the work
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to collect data, share insights, and impact future creative work
- Contribute to and help maintain internal copy systems (brand guidelines, tone of voice, for example)
- Seek out professional development opportunities in creative strategy and professionalism—thinking big picture, bringing solutions, speaking up with informed opinions, and sweating the details to ensure high quality creative and measurable results
- Ensure creative alignment with key stakeholders across the business, including Digital, Regulatory, and R&D Teams (among others)
- Contribute to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion
Applicant Requirements
- A creative portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual skills and an understanding of omni-channel customer journeys
- Adaptability in your writing across different media channels, platforms, and activations
- 5+ years of campaign copywriting experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)
- Fluency in English
- Love of the written word, creative problem-solving, and communication strategies
- Awareness of the copy-design relationship
- Ability to present work in a clear, persuasive, and creative manner
- Attention to detail, a love of style guides, and organizational skills for maintaining internal copy systems
- Resourcefulness, initiative, and individuality
