Merkle is looking for a Copywriter to join our team focused on our health and wellness client, writing editorial long and short form content for their massive digital website transformation. You will write everything from informational copy to video content, blog posts and recipes, centered around health and wellness themes. You are logical and creative and enrich our clients' websites with new blog posts, guides, and marketing copy. Reporting to the Director of Content, you are a writer with an understanding of multiple voices and able to move on to the next project quickly. You will research industry-related topics, create ideas, and proof articles before publication. You'll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness. You will be fully remote, with a preference for those in the Eastern time zone. You must be US based.
Requirements
- Write clear, original long and short-form copy for digital channels and web through the iterations of the project
- Revise or redevelop content in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or clients
- Work in partnership with an art director and UX designers to execute digital experiences
- Oversee campaigns through the production stage to completion
- Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop site content, style, and layout.
- Create and publish engaging content, ensuring brand consistency.
- Improve content according to SEO.
- Manage the voice of each brand, ensuring all creative ideas are in consideration of strategic briefs
- Infuse the brand values into all copy and excite, educate, and engage the market
- Familiarize yourself with your clients' products, the target audience, and their competitors' activities
- Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the art director
- Present ideas to the creative director and development for approval and then to your clients
1-3+ years' of experience in copywriting in an agency setting- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Advertising
- Uphold quality standards of style and grammar to produce high-quality edited content.
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $68,000. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
