By protecting millions of employees around the world from advanced threats, businesses can safely achieve their mission without unnecessary risk.
At the forefront of the IT Cyber Security industry, Egress can provide an unrivalled career path for someone looking to progress within the Copywriting space.
The Team
Egress has an exciting story to tell – and we’re looking for someone to tell it! Sitting within the Corporate Marketing team, we’re looking for someone experienced in developing compelling cybersecurity content that engages and delights its audience.
You’ll work alongside our Corporate Marketing Director and wider Marketing team to develop, manage, and author content that delivers Egress’ key messages and that will be consumed by cybersecurity professionals throughout the buyer’s journey.
The Role
Part of the Corporate Marketing team’s responsibilities is looking after Egress’ core message and producing content to support both global and regionalized Marketing initiatives.
Being part of the team means you have the chance to get involved in a lot of different things. It starts with the messaging strategy and core marketing campaigns. We then amplify this message across traditional and non-traditional channels, including PR, social media, blog articles, SEO, digital advertising, and content syndication. Content is used throughout the buyer’s journey, and this means working closely with colleagues in Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, and Channel Marketing, to ensure consistency of positioning and messaging, as well as ensuring teams are effectively resourced. As a result, you’ll be overseeing and authoring a wide range of content – from webpages, digital ads, and email campaigns, to blogs, reports, and editorials.
You’ll also be connected with a team of creative individuals, working to come up with new ideas to generate industry buzz about Egress and new ways to get our message out.
The Person
We’re looking for someone who has at least three years of experience as a cybersecurity copywriter, preferably in-house.
We need someone who has a love of writing about cybersecurity and technology, and who can write about it in an engaging style.
This person needs to be highly creative, and able to think about new ways to help people engage with Egress’ message and content.
We’re looking for someone who can come up with new ideas for other types of content we’re not yet creating or how to reposition existing content, and who can also write copy against a set brief.
Of course, the person selected will need to be able to thoroughly grasp Egress’ corporate tone of voice, as well as be able to flex their style when writing on behalf of other members of the company.
Finally, we’re looking for someone who’s collaborative and can work well with copywriting agencies and freelancers to help our content to scale. At the same time, you need to be able to manage your workload and take responsibility for content production, working with our in-house and freelance Designers to get projects finalized.
- Exceptional written communication skills – brilliant grammar and an eye for proofing.
- Able to work well with other colleagues; this role is crucial to the outputs of several other teams.
- Experience optimizing content for SEO against keywords to improve organic traffic to the Egress website.
- Knowledge and understanding of content marketing and strategy.
- Strong research skills.
- Great organization skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
- BA in English, journalism, marketing, or related field.
