Job description
Christadelphian Care Homes exists mainly, although not exclusively, to care for members of the Christadelphian Faith. We operate a number of Care Homes and Sheltered Housing schemes throughout the UK and are able to deliver care tailored to individual needs from low support through to residential, nursing and specialised care, including dementia.
At our Care Home in Bournemouth we have an opening for a Cook to join our busy team of kitchen staff on a part time basis. You’ll help prepare tasty, nutritious meals that our residents will enjoy. At main mealtimes, you’ll add those much-loved finishing touches and throughout the day you’ll ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are properly cleaned and maintained and all food is stored in a safe and hygienic way.
To be successful in this role you’ll have the following skills and experiences:
- A hard-working individual, ideally with experience of working in a busy kitchen ideally, with some experience in a care home setting.
- A good understanding of the importance of mealtimes are to older, vulnerable people.
- An excellent team player who takes pride in your job and is happy to go the extra mile.
- An understanding of food hygiene and health and safety rules.

Shift times: 7.30 am-5.30pm - Included weekend working (every other weekend)
