About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Materials Controller, to join our team based at our Head Office, Didsbury.
As an Engineering Materials Controller you’ll be planning, ordering and ensuring time driven delivery of all material requirements from fully scoped maintenance inputs to the unscheduled demands across the engineering MRO business, as well as other ad-hoc BA Cityflyer requirements.
Your responsibilities also include attending our daily engineering meeting and reporting any issues that may impact the day. Planning logistically the most effective and economical routes for shipping to ensure all material requirements are adhered to.
You’ll work closely with suppliers to ensure excellent and consistent performances are being met through fully defined contracts, with robust adherence to the supplier management process.
The Materials Control desk operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this role is 28 day rolling 12 hour day-shift pattern.
About You - experience and knowledge required
- Previous experience of working to departmental budgets
- Previous experience of working within a Materials or Procurement role
- Experience of float reviews and inventory value management
- Previous experience in the use of inventory tools, such as MRO systems
- Previous experience of working within an Airline / Engineering is an additional advantage
