The Torngat Mountains National Park - an Inuit Homeland, is one of the last untamed, unspoiled places left on earth. Comprised of 9,700 square kilometers of spectacular wilderness, the Park stretches north from Saglek Fjord to the northern tip of Labrador, and westward from the Atlantic seacoast to the Québec border. It’s a land of mountains, polar bears, small glaciers, and caribou, where the Inuit hunt, fish, and travel as their ancestors did.
Air Borealis is currently seeking Kitchen Helpers on a fixed term basis in the Torngats, NL.
- Ensure safe food handling procedures as well as sanitation practices within the kitchen;
- Maintain the kitchen and dining room ensuring they are clean and in proper condition;
- Follows all safety rules and regulations as applicable to the kitchen and supporting areas;
- Responsible for keeping the floor area clean, removing of trash and recyclables;
- Assist in unloading shipment of foods and supplies that are needed in the kitchen;
- Responsible for maintain order in the kitchen;
- Oversee and assist with the cleaning of dishes, pots, pans, etc. and dining area;
- Perform other duties as required.
