The Camp
Belwood Lodge and Camp is a camp for people with intellectual disabilities. Belwood Lodge and Camp is located just outside of Fergus, Ontario on beautiful Belwood Lake. Belwood Lodge and Camp first opened in 1946 and has had a strong reputation as a place for people with all abilities to feel safe and at home. Belwood Lodge and Camp prides itself on the quality camp experience provided to campers. Campers at Belwood Lodge and Camp include children, teens, and adults.
The Role
Belwood Lodge and Camp is seeking a Head Cook to plan food services at camp and provide leadership in the kitchen. The Head Cook is responsible for fostering a positive work environment in the kitchen, planning camp meals and ordering food, and ensuring the accurate food preparation for all camp meals.

- An interest in working with people with disabilities
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment
- Experience leading a group of kitchen staff an asset
- Camp experience an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2-3 months
Salary: $800.00-$1,040.00 per week
COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and campers are required to be fully vaccinated to come to camp. Belwood Lodge and Camp has made extensive protocols to keep all staff and campers safe while at Belwood Lodge and Camp.
Experience:
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
