Introduction
Our client is producing platform management systems for military naval vessels and they are looking for an Industrial Control Systems specialist with a strong understanding of the cyber security component.
The successful candidate will work to secure, and accredit, a diverse portfolio of equipment, primarily focussing on innovative Industrial Control Systems and will be responsible for ensuring the generation, design, implementation and verification of Cyber Security requirements.
This is a predominately remote role with occasional travel to the office in Southwest London. As the product becomes further through the development lifecycle, more time will be expected on site so you will need to be able to get to the office fairly easily.
Key responsibilities
- Planning an activity, detailed design and into implementation, test verification and sub-contractor assurance.
- Industrial Control System product Cyber Security Risk Management.
- Contributing to accreditation activities in accordance with a formal requirements framework.
- ICS product security design, development and qualification.
- Working within engineering teams to plan, design, code and test ICS complex system products.
- The creation of security document sets (RMADS, SyOps, procedures etc.) in support of product accreditation.
- Implementation of Secure by Design principles in all stages of a product lifecycle.
- Support initiatives to embed Cyber Security / Secure by Design culture within teams.
Skills & experience
- Experience of conducting cyber / technical security activities within an Industrial Control environment.
- A sound understanding of the procedures required to identify, quantify and address vulnerabilities within a product, project and organisation.
- Experience of the development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans, policies, processes and technical controls.
- Experience of formal accreditation processes, e.g. to ISA-62443, NIST SP800-37, 800-53, 800-82, OG-86, NCSC CAF.
- ICS / OT vendor solutions know-how in protection, detection and response / recovery technologies.
