SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Coventry based business who are looking for a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

This is a great time to join the business as they are going through a period of growth. This role requires an individual who is inquisitive, has a continuous improvement mindset and is willing to roll their sleeves up whilst being able to motivate, drive and develop the finance team along with developing processes, systems and procedures.

You will be responsible for the following amongst other things:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations
• Cashflow management
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts (monthly, annual and longer-term)
• Oversee preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Development KPIs and monitoring business performance against them, including investigating variances and working to improve performance
• Reporting of daily, weekly and monthly management information to the senior management team and wider business
• Leading/supporting cross-departmental projects in a finance business partnering capacity (eg tooling spend, Capex, stock management, IT systems)
• Leading the year end statutory audit, including liaising with the external auditors and working with the finance team to provide audit deliverables
• Development, improvement and monitoring of internal controls processes
• Management of the finance team and producing personal development plans for all team members
• Approving payments via the online banking platform

To be considered for this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will be looking for a business where you'll be able to make your mark.

You MUST have manufacturing experience to be in the running for this role.

My client is expecting the person in this role to be on-site 5 days a week.
