MarchantCain is a small but ambitious and growing automotive design, development, and low/mid volume manufacturer of bespoke mechatronic components for many of the world's most prestigious car manufacturers.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Assembly Operator to join our team based in Coventry.
You will be assembling a range of components into finished goods across one or more production lines ensuring high standards of quality are met.
Main Duties Include:
· Use tools to assemble small parts and products.
· Operate production line equipment to assemble goods
· Follow standard operating procedures, follow technical drawings and specifications
· Build up components and sub-assemblies into finished mechanical products
· Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks.
· Adjust machine controls whilst monitoring the production process and outputs.
· Identify process improvements, minimise waste and maintain a safe working environment
· Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications
· Achieve production targets, whilst working within a team
· Complete relevant paperwork and record data where necessary.
About you
You have a passion for all things automotive, especially the super- and hyper-cars launching new to the market. We need someone with automotive assembly experience of how these cars are made; knowledge of doors, wiper systems and aerodynamic components would be a real bonus.
Knowledge of Lean, 5s, 6 sigma and problem solving are also highly advantageous.
Candidates MUST HAVE PREVIOUS AUTOMOTIVE ASSEMBLY EXPERIENCE, preferably in a Tier 1, can think for themselves and have the capability to hit deadlines. As we set up each new, flexible production line you will be able to input into how this is done and use your knowledge and experience to improve assembly times. Prototype and/or pre-production experience will be valuable

Monday - Thursday flexitime between the hours of 7.00 am -5.30pm
Salary
£24,000 - £27,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
