As the Financial Controller at Pablo Eggsgobao, you will play a critical role in managing the financial operations and ensuring the financial health and success of our growing hospitality business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. Your expertise in financial software, payroll systems, and knowledge of United Kingdom financial regulations will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will contribute to the long-term vision of the company, preparing for its expansion into the UAE through franchising.
Day to day things
- Oversee the financial operations of all Pablo Eggsgobao branches and management company, Yellow Boxes Management Ltd.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Managing PAYE and HMRC reporting and payments.
- Develop and monitor budgets, providing variance analysis and financial recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management and department heads to control costs and optimize financial performance.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees across all locations.
- Liaise with external auditors during financial audits and address any audit findings.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to provide strategic insights for business expansion and growth plans, including franchise opportunities in the UAE.
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of financial software and apps to streamline financial processes.
- Advise on financial planning and budgeting for new locations.
The goods you gotta bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in the hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of United Kingdom financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting requirements.
- Experience in using financial software and apps to streamline financial processes.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and payroll management.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the company's international expansion plans, specifically the goal of franchising into the UAE.
