A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Contract Management Service for a motivated and experienced Procurement professional to join Bristol City Council, a diverse and ambitious organisation with a £1bn+ p.a. revenue budget and £1bn capital programme.
Bristol City Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Contract Support Officer working within the Contract Management area of the service. The role is specific to the centralised strategic contracts within the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) portfolio.
You will be required to have experience of supporting a portfolio of contracts for a client perspective with a proven track record in contract development and delivery. Ideally with experience in Private and Public sector.
What will I be doing?
You will act as part of the council’s dedicated strategic intelligent client on a portfolio of complex/high risk contracts, ensuring high quality efficient delivery in line with contractual commitments.
What do I need to have?
We need someone with excellent understanding of principles of contract and performance management and ability to apply these practically within a working environment of PFI and complexities and challenges of this sector.
You will need to have a good level of knowledge and experience of supporting provision of commercial assistance and strategic commercial administrative support, including co-ordination of associated projects within a diverse/ complex organisation.
You will also need experience of developing and sustaining effective working relationships with a wide range of partners, stakeholders, and suppliers, with a proven ability to develop professional partnerships.

Additional Information
This is a FULLTIME role, 37 hours per week and is a permanent contract until. Your working days will be Monday to Friday.
