Job Title: Sales/Order Processor
Location: Rumney, Cardiff

Major Aims:

  • Answer all In-bound calls promptly aiming for 80% to be answered in less then 5 seconds
  • Take advantage of all sales enquires to generate orders
  • Deal with any sales enquires/queries
  • To serve customers on Trade Counter
  • To ensure Total Customer Satisfaction is achieved always

Description of Duties and Key Tasks:

  • Process customer orders swiftly, efficiently. LIVE
  • Offering alternatives if out of stock – Offer range extensions
  • Undertake prospecting tasks to the requirement of the Branch Manager
  • No cold calling - contacting existing customers who have purchased or lapsed
  • Work as part of a team ensuring that there is ample phone coverage before leaving work station
  • Maintain good relations with existing customers
  • Build good relations with new customers
  • To assist customers with all enquiries/queries
  • Ensure all enquires are replied to in the shortest possible time
  • Maintain back order report daily. Keeping the customer informed of delivery times
  • To provide quotes aiming to be competitive yet with maximum profit in mind. Maintain quotes daily
  • Liaise with Accounts regarding credit limits
  • Liaise with Purchasing and Transport regarding deliveries

The ideal candidate would have held a similar role and sold a product rather than a service. Ability to read drawings a bonus.

  • Have a confident out-going personality
  • Good organization skills. Punctual and self-motivate.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Salary to be negotiated according to experience.

Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm and overtime may be required to ensure customer orders are processed in readiness for next day delivery. Should overtime be required this will be paid at time and a half.
