Job description

We are looking for a full-time permanentContract Manager to join our friendly and supportive team.

POSITION: Contract Manager

SALARY: £36,000 - £40,000 per year

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an industry professional with a proven track record of running a prestigious managing agent framework portfolio to join our operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring we exceed client expectations in relation to cleaning and associated services and take responsibility for all aspects of contract management of your portfolio.

Your duties would include but are not limited to:

  • To co-ordinate and manage the operations of all aspects of each contract within your portfolio and other portfolio’s when cover is required.
  • To carry out site surveys, develop existing contracts and grow the overall portfolio through new business awards.
  • Oversee and manage the mobilisation of new contracts
  • To carry out contract reviews to ensure that the service we are offering exceeds client expectations and that budgets and costings are correct including recommendations to change the service and potential wage/charge increases.
  • Ensure each contract operates within its operational budgets and targets
  • To be willing to assist with presentations to potential or existing clients (as required).
  • Ensure each contract is compliant by checking and maintaining H&S site folders and discussing any issues or amendments with the HSQE team.
  • To produce task cards and specifications and regularly review these for every contract within your portfolio and use these to measure and monitor the performance of your cleaning team and appraise them accordingly.
  • To deliver and promote excellent customer service and encourage continuous improvement and training/development for the cleaning teams and Assistant Contract Manager.
  • Support the delivery of our Sustainability Strategy, including social value projects, Net Zero by 30 target, annual sustainability report and thought leadership content.
  • Ensure sustainability messaging is consistent and communicated with clients and colleagues

ABOUT YOU

  • We are looking for:
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Organised, methodical, proactive with excellent time management and delegation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office package
  • A high standard of verbal and written English (at least ESOL Level 2 or GCSE A to C grade)
  • Ability to communicate instructions, information and contract management and practical cleaning knowledge clearly and concisely
  • People management and previous experience in the cleaning industry is essential
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role is also essential
  • Knowledge of HR procedures and H&S guidelines, preferably to include IOSH Managing Safely
  • Experience in multisite contract management
  • To work to a flexible time pattern in order to suit the needs of the business. This may include early mornings, weekends and evenings if required
  • Ability to train others

Ability to commute/relocate:

Experience:

  • Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
