Are you an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager looking for a new opportunity? Does the perspective of covering a region with 4 logistics sites (and growing!) within the Midlands excite you? Do you have a solid LEAN management background with a real focus on delivering savings?

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join a CI Team on a full-time, permanent basis. Working Monday till Friday business hours, you will frequently visit all the sites in a region with a main base in Northampton, Grange Park.

You’ll provide leadership and energy to engage the hearts and minds of the team and customer, implementing and encouraging a continuous improvement culture. You’ll be responsible for providing expertise, technical assistance, and training to local leadership and front-line staff in the application of continuous improvement as a business strategy to solve organisational problems.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the sites, by employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking using LEAN management tools
  • Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation, timeline and successful completion of assigned projects
  • Develop a continuous improvement & lean culture for sites, via coaching, training and working with first-line management and the senior leadership team
  • Communicate and present project proposals, progress and best practice sharing to internal and external stakeholders

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Strong previous experience leading continuous improvement and operational excellence activity in a complex environment with a focus on delivering savings
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt trained
  • Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative to drive the projects forward
  • Solid experience of LEAN implementation and expertise on its tools such as Kaizen Gemba, Process Confirmation.
