Job description

RSK Biocensus, an award winning CIEEM company who a part of the RSK Group, is recruiting a tenacious and passionate Consultant Ecologist to join their growing UK ecology team. This role is permanent with full time & part time work patterns available.

This role will be a hybrid role, with flexible homeworking and client site work.

We are looking for someone to work with clients in the Cardiff, and the surrounding areas.

As a Consultant Ecologist at RSK Biocensus you can expect to get involved with the delivery of elements of field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing your professional knowledge and skills; maintaining a personal CPD record and an up to date professional CV
  • Actively using the PDR process to set objectives for the year ahead that develop your skills and competencies in line with the team’s needs and your interests and aptitude
  • Acting at all times with professional integrity, and exercising sound professional judgment within (and recognising the limits of) your competence
  • Managing your workload, giving priority to the tasks that need to be completed first
  • Displaying a commitment to the work that is produced, promoting RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors
  • Managing small projects (under supervision); assisting senior colleagues in managing the projects that RSK Biocensus undertakes, including managing project finances, assisting in the production of deliverables in line with the client’s expectations, and ensuring deliverables are submitted on time and to a high quality
  • Working in compliance with our SHEQ Management System
  • Building relationships with team members of other RSK departments, particularly those which have a close working relationship with RSK Biocensus

Person Specification

  • 1st Degree in relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience since graduation
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Species specific personal licences are desirable
  • Associate membership with CIEEM.
  • Abide by CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.

Salary and Benefits
