Job Purpose:

To maximise revenue opportunities and convert enquiries through to the planning for all events/meetings while understanding, capturing and activating the detail to maximise the customer experience and achieve optimal contracted income.

What will I be doing?

As Group, Conference and Events Sales Executive, you will actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales, frequently identifying further opportunities for increased revenue and building relationships with clients to earn repeat and expanding business. In addition, you will activate and plan events/meetings understand the detail, find solutions and deliver an excellent customer experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

oReceive, generate and convert enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue

oManage and issue customer contracts

oSeek to fully understand customer needs/aims

oBuild strong and lasting relationships with customers

oUnderstand, capture and activate the minutia of detail for every event/meeting

oEnsure the customer experience is exceptional

oArrange and carry out Hotel show rounds

oShow initiative and pro-activity to generate and grow current and new business

oMaintain quality and delivery standards for proposals; prioritising the needs of the customer

oArrange pre-event visits/show rounds

oDevelop and produce quality BEOs; prioritising the needs of the customer

oLiaise with Operations to deliver exceptional events

oManage customer requests and enquiries within acceptable timeframes

oUtilise our tools and resources to maximise efficiencies, opportunities and revenue which include Delphi, Demand Calendar and more.

oUnderstand our product offerings, their price and the processes and systems designed to present them to our customers

oCommunicate and support the Director of Sales and reservations colleagues and wider colleagues within the Commercial Department

oCommunicate clearly between customers, reservations, and operations - both ways
