Consilium are hugely excited to be supporting Darwin Group, a leader in the delivery of modular construction solutions to the Healthcare and Education sectors. They are seeking two Construction Managers to operate UK-wide on a permanent basis. The business is in true growth-mode.

Salary: £ Negotiable + £ 4200 p.a. Car Allowance + 5% Bonus + 4% Employer Pension Contribution + Private Health Plan + Life Assurance x 3 Salary

The Group have just acquired new headquarters at Telford Plaza, a 2-minute walk from Telford Central train station and central to the shopping centre, bars/restaurants and leisure facilities. The offices are being fully re-fitted to create a first-class workspace with a purpose-built staff hub for downtime.
The Role
The Construction Managers will lead the build and construction activity at site for a range of clients primarily within the Healthcare and Education sectors. You will be a proven ’problem solver‘ and highly experienced facing clients.
With typical project values from £ 1M to £ 20M, the Construction Managers will demonstrate excellent commercial awareness and be responsible for full site management including external subcontractors and project teams. You will spearhead best practice within site Health and Safety and support effective housekeeping across the sites you manage.
The Construction Managers will operate UK wide and as such the role requires a level of working away from home typically three nights per week where required. Highly quality accommodation and an excellent expense allowance is provided and organised centrally to ensure you have the time to focus on the role itself.
You will possess proven experience in managing construction sites and operational experience within construction and related mechanical and electrical services (M&E).
The Person
The successful candidates for the Construction Manager roles will be well versed in managing construction sites and related projects within the education and healthcare sectors. You ideally possess a formal qualification relating to management and construction and be well versed within Health and Safety concerns to preferably NEBOSH/IOSH level.
The Construction Managers will demonstrate excellent commercial awareness including cost strategy, cost of subcontractor support, effective sequencing of work and Bid content.
Experience within M&E aspects of construction and MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) are highly desirable in addition to the capacity to work away from home for a typical three nights per week when the site is not within a sensible commute of your home.
