You will be required to prepare cost comparisons and management of individual project counts covering various elements of work.
Your primary role will include:
· Co-ordination with the pre-construction team
· Liaise with Clients, Consultants, PQS, supply chain, stakeholders and other third parties
· Organise and prepare supply chain enquiries
· Prepare and present sub-contract orders
· Carry out monthly job specific applications for payment
· Prepare information for monthly cost reports
· Preparation and hand over of tender estimate information to Project delivery team
Other duties which may be required:
· Carry out project commercial duties
· Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings and input to subcontract documents
· Produce monthly cost and value reports, quarterly reports and present to Management
· Commercial management of subcontractors including payment preparation, final account work, and inputting into dispute resolution
· Monitor cost of site resources
· Involvement in change management
· Provide commercial advice to the site team, and management on all contractual issues
· Attendance at site commercial meetings.
What we are looking for
· Candidates should have completed a University degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
· They could also have completed further education in the field such as a masters or RICS Accreditation or similar
· Suitable experience in groundworks and civil engineering
· Considerable variety in types of work and disciplines priced, with understanding of methods and typical production rates / outputs
· Commercial awareness including familiarity with forms of contract
· Effective IT skills, proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet or estimating software
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines
· The ability to read drawings and develop cost estimates and variations
· The ability to manage time well and multitask

Salary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
