Cummins Construction Ltd is an exciting and fast-growing company; we specialise in high-end residential and commercial refurbishments. Due to our expansion, we are currently looking for an experienced construction estimator join our office team.
This position would suit someone with construction/civils or electrical industry experience. We are looking for someone with a mature attitude to work, someone that is happy with the monotony of office work, whilst at the same time can bring new ideas to the table.
Being a relatively small company, we require someone who is dynamic in their approach to work and are happy working in several different admin roles. In return, the right person can expect to work in a company that values its staff and actively promotes personal growth.

Your role will involve:
· Reviewing and analysing tender documents
· Analyse project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate and competitive construction estimates.
· Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
· Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess project scope, conditions, and potential risks.
· Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
· Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, material lists, labour estimates, and subcontractor bids.
· Review and analyse subcontractor proposals for completeness and accuracy.
· Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
· Track and maintain records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.
· Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
· Producing materials schedules for projects once they commence
· Planning material deliveries and subcontractor.
What we are looking for:
· A self-starter with a can-do attitude
· Civil engineering, Construction, or electrical tendering experience
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
· Ability to work towards deadlines.
· Good at self-management in time and prioritising workload, able to use initiative to solve and avoid problems.
· Competent in Microsoft office
· Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
· Full Driving licence
· Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform accurate calculations.
· - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
· - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors

Salary: £29,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
