Job description

My client who is a major player within heavy plant are looking to recruit a workshop engineer to work in the rebuild/repair division.

Duties include:

• Refurbishment of construction plant equipment
• Undertaking inspections of machines to assess what work is needed
• Carrying out diagnosis tests
• Keep a detailed stock list and stock needed
• Overhaul, repair and refurbishment of machines
• Check performance levels

You must have:

• Strong engineering skills from a plant, HGV, component or pump/marine background
• Flexibility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be motivated and a self starter
• Be able to build rapport with customers
• Practical knowledge of tooling and heavy plant equipment
• Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting knowledge
• A licence to drive reach trucks is desirable

Salary: £31,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
