As an Animal Welfare Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting the fee earners and partners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a partner who specializes in RSPCA work, specifically handling animal neglect cases (PI for animals).
- Assisting with a caseload of RSPCA cases, providing both straightforward fee-earning work and complex support to the partner.
- Collaborating with fee earners in the family department and providing valuable assistance in various legal matters.
- Liaising with clients, agencies, and other third parties to ensure effective communication and smooth case progression.
- Drafting legal documents and forms, handling telephone inquiries, and assisting with billing tasks.
- Undertaking adhoc duties to contribute to the overall efficiency of the department.
To thrive in this role, they are looking for individuals who possess previous experience in a family law background, whether this be through work experience, study, or prior employment. You might be an ambitious secretary seeking career progression or a Junior Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant with a desire to specialise in family law. Whatever your background, YOU, a familiarity with family law practices and a genuine passion for animal welfare are essential for success in this role.
Location: Maidstone
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
Working Hours: 9am – 5pm
