Lecturer in Construction
Full Time (37 hours per week) and Permanent
(We are flexible and open to job share and/or part-time working arrangements)
Unqualified: £22,581 - £26,649 pro rata per annum
Qualified: £28,751 - £44,442 pro rata per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Bridgend College for a Lecturer to join our Construction team on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose: To plan, develop, evaluate and deliver the curriculum content of programmes effectively and efficiently, and to devise how best to extend our provision and encourage retention.
We are specifically looking for skills and experience in Brickwork and Carpentry. A range of construction skills to include Tiling and Roofing would be desirable. You will also have relevant, recent industrial experience and a Level 3 trade qualification. You should also hold a PGCE certificate (or be prepared to obtain this) and knowledge of City & Guilds curriculum design, delivery and assessment, and IQA/IV quality processes. With excellent interpersonal skills you will have the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population.
