JOB DESCRIPTION

The Computer Technician is responsible for the maintenance of computer network systems that are serviced by Orillia ProNet. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity (40 hrs/week) with immediate start. This is an in office position.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot problems on computer networks as they arise.
  • Traveling to our customers to provide support
  • Install, configure and maintain a variety of clients on premise software / hardware
  • Documentation of IT activities and infrastructure
  • Perform system backups and recovery
  • Installation and maintenance of all MS Windows servers, desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals

Perform other duties as required

Knowledge

  • Understanding of Windows Active directory environment, TCP/IP networks
  • Experience with general computer hardware (CPU, Memory, Motherboard, Hard Drives)
  • Experience with network devices (Switches, Routers, Printers, etc.)
  • Experience with Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
  • MAC OS 10+ Operating systems experience would be an asset
  • Experience with Virtual and Cloud based environments (VMWare, M365, Google, etc.)

Applicant must live within 30 to 45 min drive of Orillia Ontario, Canada

  • ** A driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.**

This is a permanent full-time position (40hrs/week) and applicant should be available to start as soon as possible.

Salary: Starting from $25.00 per hour
