Job description
- To perform diagnostics and repairs to computers/mobile handsets above the standard required.
- Eliminate blacklisting, SIM card or network problems to ensure fault lies with the handset, or accessories
- Perform functionality checks in order to eliminate user error Ascertain the warranty status of a handset in order to eliminate damaged equipment
- Perform functional test of handset using RF test equipment and PC in order to ascertain the nature of the defect/s (where applicable)
- Perform mechanical/cosmetic repair to handsets in order to remedy diagnosed fault Reflow circuit board components to effect repairs
- Perform component repair in order to effect repairs Perform the replacement of complex components in order to effect repairs
- Perform in depth fault analysis in order to effect repairs Repair to manufacturers guidelines in order to effect repairs
- Support Product Support team and level 2 Engineers as and when necessary, in order to enhance the skill base of the workshop
- Carry out soldering work where required in order to effect repairs
- Achieve agreed targets as specified in order to meet the requirements of the business Perform in-depth electronic fault-finding techniques
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
- Travel to clients site to perform repair
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Computer/Mobile Device repairer in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities in English
- A Team player as well as has ability to work independently using own initiative.
- Willing to travel to different sites for repair for our clients
