Sky's Sustainability and Compliance team is rapidly growing, and we are looking for a new role to support Sky’s high-reaching sustainability goals alongside our environmental and social governance related to our products and supply chain. The role will be part of the team working to enhance our European due diligence in our electronic product and indirect supply chains. Working with a team of experts globally, to implement current and upcoming due diligence and forced labour legislation whilst striving to improve standards for workers. We will encourage you to develop your skills in all areas of sustainability!
What you'll do:
- Responsible for undertaking human rights assessments and due diligence across Sky’s UK and European Supply Chains, including but not limited to electronics, logistics , content, networks, facilities. I.e. Review supplier risk assessments, EcoVadis assessments, ethical audit reports etc.
- Responsible for European Due Diligence working directly with suppliers to improve human rights, health & safety standards and their sustainability programmes.
- Maintain documentation of processes and support the development and publication of Sky Germany’s reporting on human rights and environmental due diligence.
- Consult with business relationship owners on outcomes of Supplier Compliance risk assessments. Project Manage the implementation of due diligence procedures into business processes (owned by business function leads)
- Maintain awareness of changes to the worldwide sustainability standards, directives, legislation, and regulations, with a good understanding of minimum requirements.
- Support Sky's involvement in trade associations on human rights topics. Ensure Sky's positions is represented – taking leadership roles as relevant.
- Support in collation and preparation of product technical files / supplier prequalification's to support approval submissions. Researching applicable compliance requirements for developing new technologies.
- Support across the following stakeholders groups : Group and market specific compliance, Bigger Picture – Human Rights, Sustainability Teams, Business leads across the Sky Group as well as working closely with business areas in Sky DE.
What you'll bring:
- A sustainability background and experience in the consumer goods or similar industry will help deliver the high level of service needed to make sure Sky's products meet the highest standards.
- Experience of implementing or management human rights due diligence procedures. A background in social audits would be useful.
- Strong communication skills and confidence; you'll be hands-on with manufacturing teams and suppliers and will have a voice across the whole product development, production and supply chain process.
- Strong problem solving, and analytical skills combined with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of developing legislation on human rights due diligence across Europe and support Sky in ensuring we are prepared and using our voice effectively.
- Experience of working with external stakeholders (Collaborative initiatives, NGOs, trade unions, media, regulators).
- Skillsets in environmental, social and governance will be essential in driving the business forward to meet our high standards and improve those of our supply chain partners.
- Project management experience and willingness to work collaboratively with different business areas on tailored approaches to due diligence
Content Supply Chain
We are a multipurpose division, including Content Supply Chain functions and media management. From supply to transmission, third party management and quality assurance checking, we are diligent and focused on the customer experience.
