Compliance Engineer

British Airways Engineering Wales is home to British Airways Maintenance Cardiff’s world class engineering team, and we would like to welcome applications for Compliance Engineer role within our Compliance team. The current vacancy will support the aircraft elements of the compliance role, as such the successful candidate will initially focus on AIR investigations and product audits.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a hugely skilled and experienced team. The role of Compliance Engineer within the organisation is key to assuring our continued compliance with industry regulations. As a Compliance Engineer you will be required to have a thorough understanding of relevant aviation and safety regulations, while being able to interpret and apply them in a practical manner:
- Working in the impressive purpose-built Aircraft Maintenance facility located on Cardiff International Airport, working closely with all internal departments and British Airways Engineering.
- Working knowledge of relevant airworthiness regulations, H&S at work act and applicable Environmental regulations.
- Skilled lead auditor and investigator, capable of applying root cause analysis to ensure implementation of robust error prevention measures.
- Maintain all aspects of the Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems assuring compliance through audit activity, investigation and all other elements of a compliance function.
- Deliver engaging compliance training
- Maintain an approval system ensuring all maintenance staff are correctly qualified to support the operational requirements.

- Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in Aeronautical engineering or relevant compliance discipline.
- EASA part 145 Part M, Part 21 accredited qualification
- Aircraft maintenance experience
- NEBOSH General Certificate - Occupational Health & Safety
- IEMA certificate in Environmental Management (or Equivalent)

Salary: £40,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
