We are looking to employ a Compliance Data Analyst to work with us on a full time basis. This role can be based in London or Manchester.

The Role

To Define data specifications and produce consistent and value-checked automated reporting for the central MRSG Compliance team


Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data-driven reporting and analytics for all MRSG UK regulated entities based on agreed regulatory metrics.
  • Build and maintain automated, scalable data solutions for compliance advisory, compliance monitoring and conduct risk.
  • Build insightful analytics using modern data platforms to support regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying gaps/areas for improvement across the data systems and provide input to support implementation of appropriate solutions
  • Using available resources, build comprehensive automated management reporting providing visibility on business performance against regulatory measures for compliance. e.g. conduct risk
  • Develop and provide consistent and relevant management information to relevant governance forums e.g. boards and executive committees
  • Gather required information, understand and document detailed regulatory data processes using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring these are agreed and supported by the appropriate MRSG compliance manager
  • Monitor, validate and reconcile the data produced or collected on an ongoing basis, establishing internal confidence in the accuracy of the data available and ensure we remain compliant with Lloyd’s best practice, regulatory requirements and Munich Re requirements.
  • To assist the central MRSG Compliance team in meetings its annual plans and meeting all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Support conduct risk and compliance in analysing horizon scanning updates from Lloyd’s, the PRA, FCA and other applicable regulators where applicable to identify and define potential data and management information requirements.
  • To assist with the delivery of Compliance and business led projects and other ad hoc requirements as and when needed to assist the Compliance team.


What we are looking for

We are keen to speak with candidates with data analysis, management, and visualisation expertise. Experience working in insurance or other financial services business is desirable.


Key Skills & Experience

  • Accurate with good attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication of technical concepts
  • Data analysis, management, and visualisation expertise
  • Experience collecting and documenting data requirements
  • Proactively manages conflicts within their workstack, clearly communicating any delays and managing expectations effectively.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Experience working in insurance or other financial services business
  • Understanding of UK financial services regulatory requirements
  • A foundation level understanding of insurance terminology and the Lloyd’s market
  • Baseline knowledge of Power BI
  • Experienced user of any business intelligence platform


Qualifications

  • University Degree and/or relevant professional qualification within Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related discipline.
