  • Contract type - This position is a permanent position

  • Flexible working - This is a blended working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the London Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises.

About the role:

An opportunity has arisen in the Compliance Assurance team for a Compliance Assurance Manager. This is an opportunity to work in a team that includes considerable product and retail experience in addition to financial services.

The Compliance Assurance Manager is known as the subject matter expert for Compliance Assurance requirements for all JLF products and services including but not limited to Insurance and protection products,, Partnership Card, Foreign Currency, Point of Sale Credit, Savings & Investments and any future products. In addition to JLF product teams, the role has a close working relationship with WR/JL Contact Centres, Shops, and Marketing, to whom they provide support on Compliance Assurance activities, first line Quality Assurance checks and coaching regarding financial products to develop first-line expertise, minimise the risk of non-compliance, and improve engagement. Working with and influencing the JLFS product teams, Heads of Branches/Head of Contact Centres, and Marketing to mitigate any risk to the Partnership.

Key responsibilities:

JLFS compliance monitoring/reporting:

Supporting the Product teams with improvements to Customer Journeys through Assurance and Control monitoring.

Influencing and working with Compliance Assurance Lead, Senior Compliance Officers and Senior Risk Manager

Work with Senior Compliance Officers feeding in new policies & procedures into the programmes and design toolkits to support the business units to aid in creating new processes

Work with the Senior Risk Manager to identify training needs or gaps.

Design, implement and deliver Financial Services Dashboards and Frameworks:

Audit, produce and present a quarterly dashboard on Shops, Contact Centres, Marketing & Head Office monitoring programmes and devise Mitigation plans as appropriate.

Comment on and support development of mandatory training packages and Branch Operating Procedures

Provide support for design and monitoring of Retail Quality Assurance of all financial product material produced for use across the Estate

Drive continuous improvements to the principles and regularly monitor compliance.

Influencing and Working with key stakeholders:

Building and sustaining effective working relationships i.e. Head of Branch/Head Of Contact Centre, Head Office and Customer(Marketing) teams to mitigate risk and non-compliance of FS products.

Tailor communication/influencing style to the audience to achieve the best outcome across all Partnership touchpoints where FS products are available.

Essential skills you’ll need:

  • Knowledge of Regulatory compliance and risk management within financial services

  • Conduct risk and consumer duty experience

  • Self starting and ability to manage own workload

  • Beneficial to have a retail background but not essential

  • Proven track record of engaging and influencing Partners across wide independent groups

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
