About the role
This is a challenging high-breadth sales leadership role for anyone looking to accelerate their commercial leadership and sales team management skill-sets. You will sit within our Technology organisation reporting into the Global Director - Commercial & Operations, Deliveroo Advertising. The Deliveroo Advertising team is in its infancy with high-potential for growth. The role therefore is a mix of team leadership and individual ownership of projects working with multiple functions (Finance, Product, Tech, Sales, Legal, Data Science)The role will operate under a hybrid working model (part work from home, part working from our London Head Office)
What you'll be doing
Lead the FMCG Advertising Sales team across all on and off platform media channels across all global markets, including oversight and ownership of sales pipeline.
Lead our Business Development activity to bring major Global Restaurants and FMCGs into Advertising and being the face to market with major Grocery partners we rely on for advertising revenues.
Leadership of our vendor/partner management with 3rd Party Ad Tech agencies:
Responsible for delivery of in-year P&L and setting up future year P&Ls via longer term strategic Joint Business Planning with external advertisers, agencies and 3rd party Ad Tech partners.
Ownership of digital media/eCommerce marketing, CRM, co-marketing opportunities and sampling sales activity for FMCG and Entertainment brands. Work across internal and external functions to design and deliver this activity.
Ownership of the external selling relationship with partner media agencies and the deal pipeline, as well as central commercials PoC for Restaurant Offers.
Engage with 3rd party Ad Tech partners to ensure our Advertising Value Proposition meets the needs of current and future advertising partners across the supply sides of our marketplace (Partner - Restaurant, Grocer, Advertiser; Rider)
Lead business development activity with strategic Restaurant (including Global "Gx" Restaurants) and Grocery advertising partners. Works with Product and Strategy & Innovation to define and deliver against the needs of these partners to grow the Advertising business.
Ownership of vendor/partner management with 3rd party AdTech partners
Requirements
3+ years of direct experience leading advertising sales teams
Expertise in analysing data/insights and developing strategies from scratch with lack of perfect information
8+ years of experience in digital media, advertising, Ad-tech or equivalent in an FMCG company
Expertise in communicating strategies via internal documents/meetings and external presentations
Experience collaborating with C-level leaders cross-functionally and building agreement among multiple stakeholders
Customer obsessed, always asking how we can deliver measurable impact to stakeholders
