Salary: upto £11.92 per hour

Here is your opportunity to start a career in support work. You do not need experience in care or support roles – we provide a full induction and specialist training and coaching.
We also welcome experienced carers and support workers for other care settings, giving you the opportunity to put any transferable skills to their full potential.
Working in brain injury is different to other kinds of support work. You’re there to encourage and guide individuals, helping them gain the skills and confidence to live independently.
You will share the journey with these inspiring people as they overcome hurdles, achieve milestones, and reach the goals they’ve set.

The Role
Our aim is to support service users to live the lifestyle of their choice and promote independence, focusing on their individual goals and aspirations. We are seeking a special person who is committed to assist the service in delivering quality person-centered support.
It is a really varied job, with all kinds of different activities to organise and participate in – both at the service and in the local community:
At Rosegarth we have a talented bunch! We help people we support in a variety of ways - no two days are ever the same.
Your day could involve supporting service users to choir pracctice, supporting a service user who writes their own songs and records them at a recording studio in the city centre and also supporting a service user who plays in a brass band. In the community, service users enjoy going to local pubs for meals, going to the cinema and going swimming. We are also eager to provide good in service activities such as yoga, board games, baking and more. Rosegarth is a very social home - there is never a dull day! We maintain a high quality level of personalised support, enabling our service users to holistically live their best lives.

About you
We’re not looking for any kind of specific experience. It is your personality and values that will make you a good fit for the role and our Charity. We can train and develop you to become a great rehabilitation support worker if you:
- have genuine empathy for our residents, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through the difficult times of their rehabilitation
- enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues
- have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy
- have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
