ESI is now hiring a Chief People Officer in Golden, CO.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The chief people officer is committed to curricular and workplace excellence in all schools and responsible for the programs and initiatives focused on engaging employees, developing culture, and improving employee retention. He or she works closely with heads of school and superintendents to build a committed, stimulating, and intellectually-serious culture in the schools, as well as operational excellence through our client’s entrepreneurial operating system (EOS). The chief people officer reports to the executive director who is accountable for the schools' performance to the governing board.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive HR experience and knowledge of labor and employment law.
- A high level of emotional intelligence.
- Significant experience in classical or charter education, school leadership and organizational effectiveness
- Exceptional organizational skills, and experienced management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively articulate information and issues
- Understanding of the schools mission and vision and a commitment to the growth and expansion of classical education
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Articulating the ideals of classical education among campus leadership, faculty, staff, parents, students, and the community
- Promoting the dual vision and mission to operate high-quality classical schools and expand access to classical education
- Ensuring the virtues and duties of a free and just society are appropriately taught and reflected by all faculty and supported by staff members
- Promoting the schools as a pillar of academic and character excellence in the community
- In collaboration with superintendents and the chief academic officer, crafting the vision for faculty and staff development, including summer faculty academies and in-session professional development plans, as well as observations and performance evaluations
- Assisting with superintendents to lead headmasters, school leader fellows, and other leaders to educational leadership and mastery in classical school administration
