Developer Job Description Summary
Our company is in search of a PHP Developer who has the technical ability to implement server side code written in the Laravel framework and in a Legacy Procedural PHP code base. Your main responsibility will be designing and implementing applications that are written in PHP, HTML and JS (Vue). This means you will be able to build a front end to integrate with backend components. Therefore, it is important that you’re comfortable doing a full stack role.
About Glasscare
Glasscare also known as SICP has been supporting the Insurance industry with invoicing, distribution and AI on vehicle windscreen claims for over 20 years. We are about to venture into new markets supporting insurers on other claims and need to increase our developer team.
Job Responsibilities
As a Developer at our company, you will:
· Liaise with fellow developers.
· Design and implement web applications that use the Laravel framework.
· Implement server side logic to process front end requests.
· Identify and fix bugs that are found within code.
· Interact with SQL databases.
· Ensure the appropriate security standards have been implemented.
· Ensure you've tested to verify code is performing as expected and to prevent possible security breaches.
· Create written documentation for the different components.
Job Requirements
Our ideal Developer will have:
· The ability to problem-solve and critically think.
· High level of knowledge of PHP and the Laravel framework.
· Understanding of the MVC pattern.
· Understanding of SQL databases.
· Good interpersonal skills.
