Job description
The University of Oxford is seeking an exceptional and creative communicator with a passion for telling stories about world-changing research. Working as part of the Research & Innovation Communications team, you’ll help share news of the latest discoveries from one of the world’s leading universities.
You’ll act as a trust advisor and collaborator to communications colleagues in Oxford’s Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences academic division, spanning everything from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Sciences to Zoology and Plant Sciences. You’ll be comfortable managing fast moving media relations and delivering proactive media outreach and storytelling across a broad range of communications channels.
There will be opportunity to lead targeted, proactive storytelling in a range of formats, contributing to cross-disciplinary campaigns on topics ranging from artificial intelligence and the application of new technologies to climate change, the exploration of space and live saving medical treatments.
You will be joining a supportive, friendly and award winning team of communications professionals located in the University’s central Public Affairs Directorate and will collaborate closely with specialist teams in internal, digital and creative communications.
