Job Summary
The Internal Communications Coordinator will develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to foster a positive and informed workplace culture. This role involves delivering timely and engaging information to employees and ensuring consistent messaging through various communication channels.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an internal communication strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives in collaboration with HR Director, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders.
- Identify and utilize key communication channels, tools, and technologies to effectively reach employees.
- Create and maintain an internal communications calendar to plan and schedule communication initiatives.
- Generate engaging and informative content for internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, emails, memos, and social media platforms.
- Write and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to the organization's tone and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and department heads to gather information and insights for content creation.
- Recommend and maintain up-to-date and user-friendly internal communication channels and social media platforms.
- Screen distribution lists and channels for accuracy and make necessary updates.
- Monitor and analyze channel effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Work in partnership with HR and other departments to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate events, town halls, meetings, and activities to foster a sense of community and open communication.
- Support the implementation of employee recognition programs and internal surveys.
- Assist in developing and executing communication plans during organizational change periods.
- Ensure timely and transparent communication to employees, addressing concerns and promoting understanding of changes.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal communications, such as readership, engagement, and feedback.
- Prepare reports and presentations to share insights and recommendations with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in internal communications, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapting style and tone for different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Proficiency in using communication tools, platforms, and technologies.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
