We are seeking a Change Communications Manager to join the MBD Global Operations team and be part of our continuing Salesforce implementation journey. The Change Communications Manager will develop and implement communications strategies and plans to support changes already underway to transform the firm’s approach to client relationship management.
The role holder will work closely with the Senior Change Manager as well as the established CRM project team, also collaborating closely with colleagues across our global network. The ideal candidate will have held similar change communication roles and will have some experience of working in a global or complex matrix organisation. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues in the global MBD team and stakeholders across the firm.

By working collaboratively, our team shapes the firm’s client strategy, completes analysis of complex business issues, targets opportunities, develops compelling proposals and creates content and marketing campaigns that lead our digital presence. Together, we define the client experience and shape the perception of Freshfields around the globe.
Key responsibilities
Working with the Senior Change Manager, the role holder’s responsibilities will include:
- Creating a transition communications plan and developing a suite of associated communications activities designed to inform, motivate and engage groups and individuals, helping them to understand the impact, appreciate the benefits and maximise adoption.
- Designing and delivering innovative, punchy content across a range of media for stakeholder updates, change workshops, focus groups, super-users, online meetings and training activities, including newsletters, videos and animations.
- Developing clear, impactful messages and frameworks, toolkits and other assets/materials that are consistent with the firm's overarching strategy, approach and templates, and reflective of the benefits of the project to support business leaders and colleagues in managing change.
- Working in partnership with the global internal communication, brand and marketing teams to ensure all activities are created and delivered in accordance with in-house standards and methodologies.
- Designing and delivering training activities within the scope of the change programme.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships in conjunction with the project team.
- Measuring the impact of change communications and engagement, collecting and responding to feedback and adapting plans as needed.
- Providing regular communications engagement status updates to the project management team and senior stakeholders.
Key requirements
- Experience in delivering change communications and engagement within a large transformation project, ideally within a professional services organisation and/or related to Salesforce or other enterprise-wide Client Relationship Management systems.
- Experience in development, ownership and implementation of a range of communications activities - proven ability in creating content for a range of channels eg Sharepoint, email, Yammer, presentations, narratives, videos.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment, be adaptable and pragmatic.
- Ability to quickly immerse themselves into the project and firm’s culture.
- Can build trusted relationships quickly and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level and/ or relevant professional qualifications.
- IT literate, fluent in MS Office, MSP or equivalent.
- Fluent spoken English and excellent writing skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident, approachable and enthusiastic attitude.
