This is a great opportunity to join the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Corporate Communications Team.
Reporting to the Head of Media Relations, the successful candidate will have experience of working in a professional communications team and have exceptional skills.
You will work as part of a busy media and communications team providing a communications service to our patients, membership and our 11,000 staff in a state-of-the-art large university hospital and other sites.
As the successful post holder, you will need exceptional writing skills and will create content for all our channels, focusing on external and social.
You will be helping with media and social media queries, photography and providing communications support for our membership and governors and dealing with associated queries.
This is a busy and varied role, requiring flexibility, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
You must have excellent writing skills, a range of IT skills, including knowledge of website and intranet software editing programmes and be extremely organised.
This role reports to the Head of Media Relations and will work with the Head of Communications on membership and governor communications programmes.

- To write content for the corporate website and keep pages updated, helping to maintain the accurate and timely information for all users. Regular use of variety of publishing systems e.g. Desktop Publishing. Need for speed and accuracy in order to meet tight deadlines.
- To provide assistance for professional social media service to the Trust, supporting the team by designing proactive content and curating external and internal social media platforms. Inclusive of quick responses to news media reports or longer-term planning for health campaigns such as Smoke free site or patient initiative such as Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU).
- To provide communications support for internal and external Trust projects and campaigns and media queries.
- To provide support to communications by gathering information that can be used as evidence to support, some of which could contain sensitive & confidential patient information.
- To act as the first point of contact on behalf of the communications team for all communication and media enquiries from internal NNUH staff including Trust Executive Directors or externally from patients, patient families, service users, the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and/or local acute hospitals.
