Location: Cambridge / Coventry, Hybrid (regular visits to the office per week)

Contract: Full Time/Fixed term (18 months)

About the role

The Product Support Commissioning team at OCR plan and co-ordinate the support for our assessment products. It's our job to ensure that our customers have the support they need, when they need it. We are a tight-knit and forward-thinking team, who enjoy working collaboratively and sharing ideas.

As Commissioning Editor, you'll be an integral part of the team. You'll have responsibility for scoping, developing, and briefing new kinds of product support, and will work with colleagues across the organisation to identify the best way to meet our customer needs. You'll work on our support proposition for several key products in the OCR portfolio.

You'll ensure that our decision-making is driven by customer insight. Through ongoing insight work you'll maintain a strong awareness of key trends and developing needs, both across our entire market and in key subject areas. You'll be involved in major pieces of market research and lead specific market testing of new types of support to ensure they deliver what our customers need.

About you

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience of resource development for education (in a publishing or teaching context).
  • Market research, analysis, and strategic thinking skills.
  • The ability to build and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders of all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills to plan and manage a range of complex tasks, functions and schedules.
  • The capacity to balance, prioritise, and manage a varied and demanding workload.
