Whilst our kitchen brigade our an enthusiastic and work working bunch we also believe in good work life balance.Why we need you...The Forge and Terrace at Kelling Heath is looking for a Commis Chef who is keen to develop their culinary skills within the different sections of the kitchen, has a desire to learn and a broad culinary palette to assist in the day to day running of our kitchens.Whilst the role might require some overtime during school holidays this is not a 70 hour plus per week role, your work life balance is important to us.Training will be provided; we only ask that you are passionate about and have a genuine interest in food and flavour and can demonstrate that through the care you take in preparing every dish whether simple or more intricate.What you'll do...Preparation of salads and dressingPreparing dishes following recipes and instructions providedContinuously ensure you are maintaining high cleanliness and personal hygiene standardsWorking in all aspects of the food offerings including our F&B restaurant and CafeThis is not an exhaustive list and as we are a small team you may be asked to assist with other responsibilities within our Food and Beverage department.What experience you'll bring...The following would be useful but are not essential, primarily we just need you and your passion for food:Understanding of knife skillsSome industry experienceWhat skills you'll bring...A desire to learnExcellent communication skillsA team player with a flexible attitudeHow to apply:We are open to all, and we value the unique skills of everyone.
