Commis Chef Kitchen - Evelyn's Table Contract: Permanent Salary: £14.00/hour Evelyn’s Table is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Commis Chef to join their Michelin-starred kitchen team and become a part of one of the most in-demand contemporary dining experiences in London. Your role: With a recently retained Michelin star, our guest’s expectations are higher than ever; experience of working in and understanding the standards of an award-winning environment is a must. You’ll be working under Head Chef James Goodyear on the creation of a seasonally evolving tasting menu. James’ cuisine has been naturally influenced by his passion and kitchen experience, from working at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons (**), Mugaritz (**), Maaemo (***) and Hide Above(*). Our standards mean that we work with the country’s best producers, and our size means that we get hold of extremely limited runs of ingredients. The kitchen team rotate through responsibilities which means you’ll cover a wide range of experiences. This role offers huge opportunities to develop your craft at the top level. You’ll be learning from the best. You’ll begin your journey at Evelyn’s working on prep. Once you have mastered this, we will then train and progress you to become a Demi Chef de Partie. Our twelve-seat kitchen counter is an intimate space. When in service, you will be cooking right in front of your guests and serving the five-course tasting menu straight to them. You must be comfortable with becoming a part of the theatre of Evelyn’s Table and support the team in presenting and explaining the dishes.
